INTERVIEWS Nathan De Cat could not hide his disappointment after the match. "The result is obviously not what we had hoped for," he admitted. "But if you look at the whole game, we put in a decent performance. Compared with recent weeks we created more chances and took the game to the opponent more often." The youngster from Neerpede did see clear room for improvement.

"Conceding just before the break came at a bad moment," he said candidly. He declined to comment on the red cards. "I'm not a referee." "There was nothing I could do about it," De Cat continued. "If he decides to show red, then that's that. Who are we to judge whether it was justified or not? Those phases are simply part of football." He ended with a hopeful message for the supporters. "Of course the disappointment dominates, because we knew we could have done better here. But I'm convinced it will turn around quickly. We're on an upward trend and hungry to get back to the level we reached in September."
