OTHER Jeremy Taravel is proud of the trust that RSC Anderlecht has placed in him by entrusting him with the role of T1. In his own words, he has worked hard to prepare the team for the trip to Antwerp. He also received an offer to join Edward Still at Watford: “but I never intended to leave Anderlecht,” he said. Taravel is grateful for the opportunity he has been given and feels at home in Brussels, although he realizes that his life as head coach is unlikely to last long.

This week, he tried to create a kind of bubble around the players so that external events would not destabilize them further. He was assisted in this by Arnaud Djoum and Naïm Aarab, who bring a fresh perspective to the group.

Taravel wants to return to simple things to restore calm to the team. “There is enough quality in the core to win at Antwerp, but that can only happen if the players play freely and with confidence,” he said.
