GAMES Majeed Ashimeru and Antwi Dacosta did not make the Ghanaian World Cup squad. This comes as no surprise, but the duo were called up for a friendly match last week. That was enough for some media outlets to start speculating wildly.
The selection for that friendly (against Mexico, a 2-0 loss) included almost no regular starters. That has become clear now that national team coach Carlos Queiroz has announced his 28-man World Cup squad. So no World Cup for the Anderlecht duo. Francis Amuzu is also not on the list.
