1B - YOUTH - TRANSFERS A few names caught our eye on the lineup sheet for last weekend's match between the Futures and FC Dordrecht. For instance, Willsem Boussaid was on the bench—a 20-year-old Algerian winger from Chateauroux who had previously been reported to be on his way to Anderlecht. His transfer has not yet been officially announced anywhere.
Simon Yu Mendy, a 17-year-old Japanese center back currently playing for RKU Kashiwa HS in his home country, also earned a spot on the bench. The young defender, who could also choose to play for the Senegalese national team, impressed at the recent U-17 World Cup by helping Japan reach the quarterfinals. As far as is known, his presence against Dordrecht was not announced anywhere, so it appears he is currently on a trial at Neerpede.
In addition, Pape Aliya N'dao also made his debut against Dordrecht. The Senegalese winger started the match and even scored the second goal. N'dao already played for the Futures last season on loan from his Ghanaian club, YAP FC. As far as we know, there has been no official announcement that he has been permanently signed by Anderlecht, but his presence last weekend does seem to indicate that this is the case.
