YOUTH Jayden Onia Seke is off to a lightning-fast start in his professional career. The barely 17-year-old winger for Anderlecht could be playing in his third match at the highest level as early as Thursday in the Europa League. The Belgian with Congolese roots was discovered at the age of five during a youth tournament in Grimbergen. At first, his parents could hardly believe that an Anderlecht scout had shown interest. There, he developed into one of the greatest talents of his generation. He also impressed with the Belgian national youth teams and played a key role in the U17 squad that reached the final of the European Championship.

Despite his early breakthrough, the young forward remains down-to-earth, according to his family. His parents emphasize that he must continue to focus entirely on his development and not on the attention or the financial aspect. Even though he now earns his own income as a professional soccer player, at home he is still raised like any other teenager.

His first appearances with the first team immediately earned him applause from the Anderlecht fans. For his parents, it was a special moment to see their son take his first steps as a professional in front of thousands of fans. Above all, they hope he can continue to grow at his own pace and develop step by step.
