Official: Ndiaye joins Werder Bremen

TRANSFERS Moussa Ndiaye's transfer has been finalised. Anderlecht and Werder Bremen have announced that the left-back will join them on loan for the rest of the season. Werder also hold an option to buy. “Moussa is exactly the type of player we were looking for."

“I'm already familiar with German football and have played at a number of Bundesliga grounds, so I know how intense the game is here and how passionate the fans are,” said Ndiaye on his new club's website. “Werder is a club with a rich tradition and I had a good feeling right from the very first talks. I want to use my experience to help the team.”

Manager Daniel Thioune is delighted with his new defender. “Moussa is exactly the type of player we were looking for,” he said. “He's a tough defender, adds value going forward and has a good sense of when to hold his position and when to push forward. He's already shown he can perform in Germany and will give us more options on the left.”

Ndiaye joined Anderlecht from Barcelona's youth academy in 2022. He quickly established himself as a valued player, although he experienced his share of ups and downs. In the second half of last season, he played on loan at Schalke 04 in the German second division.
