TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht continues to strengthen its defensive ranks with the arrival of Andrew Omobamidele, a 24-year-old defender who joins on loan from RC Strasbourg until the end of the season. The Irish international, who already has ten caps to his name, arrives at Neerpede with a fair amount of experience under his belt. Developed in England, Omobamidele made his name at Norwich City before moving on to Nottingham Forest. At Strasbourg, he played 54 official matches, both in Ligue 1 and on the European stage.
Omobamidele is a modern defender who combines physical presence with good reading of the game and clean build-up play. His arrival will certainly sharpen competition at the back.
