TRANSFERS RSC Anderlecht have secured itself of Thelo Aasgaard for the rest of the season. The purple and white have loaned the attacking midfielder from Rangers FC and also included an option to buy him permanently after this campaign. The 24-year-old Norwegian, born in Liverpool, took his first footballing steps in Liverpool FC's youth academy before moving to Wigan Athletic at the age of 14. There, he progressed to the first team and developed into a mainstay, making 163 official appearances, scoring 30 goals and providing 11 assists.
At the start of 2025, he made the move to Luton Town before joining Rangers FC after a short spell in the Championship. In Glasgow, he got a taste of European football and recorded 9 goals and 5 assists in 53 matches. Aasgaard also represents Norway. Since making his debut for the national team in 2025, he has posted impressive numbers: in just nine caps, he has already scored six times. Last summer, he was also part of Norway's squad for the 2026 World Cup. With his arrival, Anderlecht add a goalscoring threat and international experience to the heart of midfield.
