"Galhardo is better than Rodinei"

TRANSFERS Rafael Galhardo will probably be signing a contract at Anderlecht soon, but what can we expect from him? "He is not a frivolous Brazilian. He has a good attitude and a winner."

The right defender will probably join Anderlecht in La Manga, and is supposed to sign a contract until 2020. As his contract expires at the end of the year, he was allowed to leave for a rather small transfer fee. Part of his transfer rights are still in the hands of private investors.

"Galhardo is a tough defender to beat, has good technique and good passing. He is not the quickest, but has great positioning. He is better than Rodinei, the first option of Anderlecht", explains Dominique Baillf, webmaster of Brazilian website Samba Foot.

Galhardo is 24 already and is still playing in Brazil. "He had a tough period after the death of his brother", Baillif says. "But now he is launched. Last season he played 45 games, was elected best defender of the championship and he was wanted by Portuguese and German teams.
