TRANSFERS Andy Kawaya joined Willem II on loan trial, but many other teams were interested in the youngster's services. KV Ostend and STVV were both eager to take over the young attacker.

KVO Chairman Marc Coucke reacted disappointed about the fact that Kawaya was not allowed to join them and STVV manager Philippe Bormans also wanted to take over the youngster. However, Anderlecht did not want to strenghten an opponent in the Belgian championship, and did not want Kawaya to play on the artificial grass turf of STVV.
