INTERVIEWS Tomorrow, the election of the Golden Shoe 2015 is taking place. Dennis Praet won the trophy one year ago, but 2015 was less fortunate for him. However, Sporza journalist Peter Vandenbempt thinks Praet's last year was not that bad at all.

"Dennis Praet played some great matches when he was fit. Sad enough he was injured most of the time. He was out with a back injury the entire second half of last season." As a result, Praet is expected not to receive a lot of points in tomorrow's Golden Shoe election.

"Over the past four months, Praet played most matches with Anderlecht. "When he played well, Anderlecht played well too. Together with Steven Defour, he determines the game of Anderlecht."

Vandenbempt thinks Dennis Praet made progress in 2015. "He is willing to work now and is not afraid to help in the defence. Physically he is stronger and he has better statistics than last year."

Chances are high that Dennis Praet will leave Anderlecht at the end of the season, maybe even this summer break. "He should stay at Anderlecht for the rest of the season", Vandenbempt states. "He should improve his statistics and maybe win the championship title with Anderlecht again. After the season, he will be ready to leave Anderlecht and a coach like Jürgen Klopp would be perfect for his development."
