TRANSFERS The incoming transfer of Imoh Ezekiel on loan trial has not been a success so far. The Nigerian striker requested Anderlecht to leave the team. The Mauves refused the transfer but might have a problem. If Ezekiel does not play sufficient matches, Anderlecht have to pay an indemnity fee.

Anderlecht took over Ezekiel from Al Arabi for one season on loan trial. He should have been the perfect match for Stefano Okaka in a 4-4-2. Only problem: Anderlecht are not playing in a 4-4-2 formation and Ezekiel does not fit in a system with three attackers.

Ezekiel is tired of the current situation and requested to leave. Anderlecht refused as they would have difficulties finding an alternative in not even two weeks' time. Also Al Arabi are not fond of a termination of the loan trial.

Indemnity fee

Anderlecht are paying Al Arabi 250,000 Euros plus Ezekiel's salary of 1.45 million Euros annually. However, a clause has been taken up in the contract that obliges Anderlecht to let Ezekiel play at least 75 percent of their matches. If not, they will pay an indemnity fee.

Until now, Ezekiel played in 25 of 30 official games. 16 times he appeared in the starting eleven and 9 times he came in after a substitution. He scored three times so far: against Kortrijk, Tottenham and in the Belgian cup again against Kortrijk.
