INTERVIEWS Dodi Lukebakio made a great performance against AA Ghent and might be in the starting eleven for next weekend's match. La Dernière Heure questioned Lukebakio's former coaches at Asse, Brussels and the U21 team of Anderlecht.
All coaches agree on one thing: this player might become the revelation of Anderlecht. On the short term he might solve the problems on the right wing.
Lukebakio started his career at FC Asse-Zellik in 2006, when he was nine years old. After only a few training sessions his coach already knew Lukebakio was very talented. "He took the ball whenever he wanted, dribbled a couple of opponents and scored", says Klaas Van Hove. "At that time, he made me think of Rensenbrink."
Brussels
Lukebakio moves to Brussels in 2010.
"He still had to develop his skills but he had a remarkable technique and dribble. He had something special, that only left-footers have", says Thierry Cabeke, his former coach at Brussels.
Anderlecht
At the age of 14, Lukebakio makes the transfer to Anderlecht. He had some difficulties at the U15 to adapt himself. But at the age of 16, his career gets a boost. "He was very decisive, could set up an action and finish it. He was very talented", Verjans reacts.
