OTHER Herman Van Holsbeeck does not longer exclude a return of Anthony Vanden Borre to the first team. "Before considering this, he should offer his apologies to everyone", the manager reacted.

Close to the end of the transfer window, Vanden Borre is still at Anderlecht and he did not receive a single offer. "Some teams called me, but we didn't receive any bid", Van Holsbeeck said. "Vanden Borre is a problem and we have to find a solution to that problem."

That solution might be a return in the first team. "I don't say that will happen, but he should first think about apologies. He disappointed his team mates, the staff and the team. Afterwards, he should talk to the coach to see what is possible."

"Don't want trouble again"

Hasi will not have an easy time convincing the coach. "I understand some people will not forgive Anthony that easily. Everyone makes mistakes, Vanden Borre even more than others. And we don't want trouble with him again within a few months", said Van Holsbeeck.

It is also not sure yet how the group react if Vanden Borre returns. With his previous statements, he did not make himself any more popular.

"Will see how it goes"

Vanden Borre's last match was on 2 August and Hasi has not seen Vanden Borre the last months. Anthony underwent an eye surgery in December and took a month off in Dubai afterwards.

"We made commitments, he is training", Van Holsbeeck said. "We will see how it goes. We still have until 1 February to find a solution."
