INTERVIEWS Anderlecht are challenging Mouscron-Péruwelz tomorrow, which is currently being coach by Glen De Boeck. De Boeck was active for thirteen years at Anderlecht and has positive flashbacks about this period.

De Boeck joined Anderlecht back in 1996 as a 23-year-old defender. He played there for ten seasons and joined the technical staff at the end of his career. Later on, he left Anderlecht to become head coach at Cercle Bruges.

"Thirteen years is one third of my life", De Boeck reacts. "I don't think there are many players who stayed that long at Anderlecht. Players who stayed at Anderlecht for four-five seasons are usually treated like kings."

"I still have good contacts with Herman Van Holsbeeck, there are no more hard feelings. Of course I have the ambition to become head coach of Anderlecht one day. If you don't have the ambition to be the head of the best team of Belgium, it is better to quit football."

De Boeck only won once against Anderlecht as a coach, with Cercle Bruges in 2009 (1-2). He is hoping to stunt again. "That would be unique, it doesn't happen a lot to win against Anderlecht."
