OTHER RSC Anderlecht announced the club will not move to the Eurostadium. The club finds their concerns were not sufficiently mitigated by constructor Ghelamco. Further, the high rent remains an issue. "The move to the Eurostadium is therefore not in the best interest of the club", the press attaché announced.

This could mean the end for the Eurostadium and also for the candidature of Brussels to host four games for the Euro 2020 tournament. The new national stadium is not viable if there's no club playing in it.

Constructor Ghelamco is not worried though: "we take note of Anderlecht's decision", they reacted briefly. The company still believes there will be a solution for the problems.

Meanwhile, the municipality of Anderlecht is now eager to convince the club to stay: "RSC Anderlecht received a valid building permit to enlarge the current Vanden Stock Stadium to 30.500 seats (see picture). That permit is still valid." Anderlecht's mayor plans a meeting with the club's direction board in the near future.
