OTHER Technical director Antoine Sibierski receives a 4/10 for his transfers in Het Laatste Nieuws, two months after the transfer window closed. It may still be a little early, but it is already clear that not everything is going smoothly at Anderlecht. At the start of November, fourth place looks like the highest possible finish in the league, goals are hard to come by, their Croky Cup campaign is already over and things will not be easy in Europe either. The newspaper assesses all the transfers individually.

The worst report card is for Romeo Amane (2/10), which is hardly surprising given that the Ivorian has barely played. Even Mario Stroeykens was used to fill in in his position. Tawfik Bentayeb (7/10) is the most successful signing, having already shown his scoring touch, although the paper notes that he still misses just a few too many chances, including the header at Beerschot. The newspaper does acknowledge, however, that it was strange he did not play against Gent. Marten Winkler also comes out well with a 6/10, as do Biancone and Koutsoupias. Ambros just passes with a 5/10, having faded after a promising start. Pétrot and Reabciuk receive the same mark. Antman (3/10), Aasgaard (4/10) and Omobamidele (4/10) all fail.

Naturally, the players who stayed at Anderlecht must also be taken into account. Maamar has made progress, but once he gets into the danger area he seems to tense up. A major problem remains the lack of scoring power. Anderlecht have scored just nine goals in nine matches. That is the kind of average you would expect from a side in relegation trouble. With Bentayeb, Sikan and Cvetkovic, however, they do have decent strikers with different profiles, but the team also needs to be set up with those players in mind. Cvetkovic struggles as a lone forward, while Bentayeb needs enough usable balls in the penalty area. Bertaccini seemed to have been written off, but with two late goals he has still earned Paars-Wit four points already.

A quick look at the league goals: - La Louvière: Nga Kana, Bertaccini - Beveren: / - Union: / - Kortrijk: Sikan - Genk: / - Mechelen: Bentayeb - Zulte Waregem: Bentayeb, Winkler (2) - Cercle Brugge: Bentayeb, Bertaccini - Gent: / Of all the new players, only Bentayeb and Winkler have managed to score in the league after nine matches. In four of those nine games, Paars-Wit failed to score at all. So far, only five different Anderlecht players have found the net in the league, three of them with two or three goals.
