Appiah: “We have a great desire”

INTERVIEWS Because of the injury of Andy Najar, Dennis Appiah is now Anderlecht’s right back. The Frenchman has only one objective at the moment: to win the title with Anderlecht. But he admits that it is not yet completely sure, despite a lead of 4 points.


“After our victory against Bruges, everbody already said we were champions. I didn’t. I knew that it was not yet finished, and a few days later we lose the game against Charleroi. I prefer to be in our position with a 4 point lead on the first pursuer”, Appiah admits.

“But the desire is big, we absolutely want to win that title. We've never lost confidence in the team. My season will only be a success, when we win the title.”
