A lot of injury concerns for last game

INJURIES Anderlecht will have to miss a lot of players next Sunday against AA Gent. Leander Dendoncker will be suspended, but in addition there are seven more players who are highly insecure due to injuries.


Henry Onyekuru seems to be out of action this season. The same applies to Kenny Saief. He fell out last Sunday after a quarter with a strain in the knee. He had been struggling with the hamstrings before. Lazar Markovic also suffers from an injury to the adductors. For him it is a tear.

Where the three mentioned will probably not play on Sunday, there is more hope for Andy Najar, Uros Spajic and Kara Mbodj. "Kara could have fallen for fifteen minutes", Vanhaezebrouck told after the match against Ghent. This did not happen, however. The defender is not yet top and also next Sunday it will just be the role of substitute for him. Najar was sick last week, but did not play Sundat because he suffered from the muscles. Spajic played, but the last twenty minutes were very difficult.

Finally, there is Ivan Obradovic. He suffers from an injury to the abdominal muscles and that seems pretty serious. However, the left back is keen on participating in the World Cup and to show the Serbian national coach that he is ready, he wants to play against Genk. Anderlecht are less eager. Purple-white would rather not take risks.
