Mykhaylichenko: "Glad to be back in such a tough period"

INTERVIEWS Bogdan Mykhaylichenko has completed his first training session at Shakhtar Donetsk. He joined his teammates at the training camp in Rotterdam. He also gave his first interview to the club media. "When I heard about the interest, I immediately agreed," he said.


"I am very happy to return to the Ukrainian league at such a difficult time for our country and to be part of a big club like Shakhtar," Mykhaylichenko explained. "When I heard about the interest, I immediately wanted to goe. I didn't set any conditions. Shakhtar is a big club. And of course the Champions League is a huge challenge for me."

"Many players I already know from at the national team. They received me well." As a welcome, Mykhaylichenko, along with Neven Djurasek, another newcomer, had to walk through two rows of teammates as they received teasing taps. "Everyone laughed. That was the intention," Mykha laughed.
