Veldman: "This is not youth football anymore"

GAMES Robin Veldman was honest and harsh in his analysis afterwards. A collective failure, he called it, especially on set pieces. Phases that were nonetheless discussed and where everyone knew where the danger lay and yet they allowed it to happen. 


"This feels like losing," Veldman was honest, "Another goal from a corner, but we had been warned about this. In the last four games there have been too many goals from those set pieces. High time more responsibility is taken, this is no longer youth football. And I'm talking about everyone, whether you're 17 or 35".

"I did see some good foundations in midfield and on the wings, we now need to build on and strengthen that. The foundation has to become much more stable. And the quality really has to go up if we want to hurt the opponent, working points for Sunday against Eupen."
