"The history of the RSCA Academy has always attracted me."

INTERVIEWS Brian Riemer will give his first press conference today at Lotto Park. But the new Anderlecht coach has already been interviewed by Mauve TV about the RSCA Academy's talents. "During the youth tournaments Anderlecht was always the best team. I always said to myself: that's crazy, isn't it? 


The breeding ground of Neerpede
"There are so many big clubs in Europe with huge budgets. But when you go to those youth tournaments, Anderlecht is always the best team. Over the past ten years, I've always been very attracted to the history of RSCA's academy. It's incredible that a club like Anderlecht can constantly produce such talent. So to be part of this club now is a huge privilege for me."

"Through my experience in the Premier League and English soccer over the past four or five years, I have seen the quality of players who have gone from here to the best league in the world. Tielemans, Dendoncker, Lukaku when he was still playing there: it's great to see that quality. Honestly, the player who hurt Brentford the most is probably Tielemans. Every time we played against him, he hurt us. To then realize that he came from that environment only increased my admiration for Anderlecht's academy."
