GAMES - 1B The RSCA Futures have qualified for the Promotion Play-offs after a thriller. The purple and white U23 won 2-3 at Deinze. The Futures thus tip over Lommel to sixth place. Nilson Angulo (pictured) provided the decisive goal.
Against a very fierce Deinze, the RSCA Futures went behind after 15 minutes. Angulo gave Schuerans too much space and he took advantage to score the 1-0. Anderlecht then claimed possession of the ball, but Deinze's defence held firm.
After the break, the home team soon found themselves down to ten men. Coach Gillet responded with a double substitution and it was successful. Substitute De Wilde was barely two minutes between the lines when he scored the equaliser. Not much later Anderlecht even took the lead. Top marksman Stassin scored his fourteenth of the season.
Anderlecht seemed on their way to a deserved victory and the Promotion Play-offs, until Schrijvers equalized again. Five minutes before time, Angulo provided the deliverance by shooting into goal from outside the box.
In the absolute closing stages, it was ten against ten for a while when substitute Hubert had to leave the game with an injury. Referee Vermeiren allowed no less than six minutes of added time to play.
