OTHER While Anderlecht plays Villarreal on Thursday, the Lotto Park is the setting for Union's European match. Het Nieuwsblad knows that purple-white will receive 125,000 to 150,000 euro for this. That Union plays this European match in Anderlecht is a consequence of the transition that coach Felice Mazzu made last summer.

We all remember the bickering between Union and Anderlecht over the fee that purple-white had to pay to pluck Mazzu away from the vice-champion. In the end, both sides came to an agreement. Among other things, Anderlecht promised that Union could use the Lotto Park for a reasonable price if it played the final preliminary round of the Champions League. That finally did not happen, but Anderlecht is now keeping its promise that Union can use the Lotto Park.

Het Nieuwsblad knows that the clubs quickly found an agreement to play this round's match at Lotto Park. No one wants to formally comment on an amount, but it would be a rental fee of 125,000 to 150,000 euros. Union will take care of the entire organization, but will rely on Anderlecht staff members for some things.

The atmosphere compartments behind the goals will remain closed to Union fans. That is the area of the Mauves Army and South Leaders.

Anderlecht will use the proceeds from this rental to renovate the youth academy.
