Official: De Caigny and Javier Melchor

OTHER On its official website, Anderlecht has announced the arrival of Tine De Caigny and goalkeeper coach Javier Melchor. Both announcements were in line with recent expectations. Coach Mattheus, for example, had already told about De Caigny's return yesterday.


De Caigny returns from Hoffenheim and signed a two-year contract. At the age of 25, the Red Flame has already played 80 international games in which she already managed to score 40 times.

Anderlecht thus went to Spain to get Frank Boeckx's replacement. Javier Melchor was tipped to Brian Riemer by Iñaki Caña, Arsenal's goalkeeper coach, according to Het Laatste Nieuws. Melchor worked at Racing Santander's youth academy as head of goalkeeping. Since 2021, he served as goalkeeper coach at CD Badajoz.
