Anderlecht allows Angulo to go to U20 World Cup

OTHER Anderlecht has given Nilson Angulo permission to take part in the U20 World Cup with Ecuador. That will take place from May 20 to June 11 in Argentina. Clubs are not obliged by FIFA to release their players for this tournament.


In recent weeks, the Ecuadorian soccer federation has inquired with numerous European clubs whether their players may participate in the tournament. Ecuador did not yet announce an official selection, but there is a very good chance Angulo will be there.

Last fall, Angulo also made his debut for the A-team, but he was absent from the World Cup in Qatar.
