16-year-old Nigerian in the picture

YOUTH Anderlecht is one of the clubs charmed by Yahaya Lawali. So write Nigerian media. However, competition for the 16-year-old right-back is high and there is a real chance that Anderlecht will not be his destination. After all, he would move to Barcelona.


Lawali impressed at the Africa Cup for U17 in Algeria early this month. The right-back secured a place in the top team of the group stage. In the quarterfinals, however, Nigeria was eliminated.

Gent, Lyon, Strasbourg, Lens and Sevilla have Lawali on their list as well as Anderlecht, but it seems to be Barcelona that will be his choice.
