Angulo and Ecuador eliminated at U20 World Cup

GAMES Nilson Angulo's World Cup adventure is over. The Ecuadorian U20 lost 2-3 to South Korea in the World Cup eighth finals last night. Angulo started in the starting line-up, but was substituted at half-time.


Ecuador ran into a 0-2 deficit fairly quickly. Before half-time it was able to ease to 1-2, but immediately after the break the South Koreans scored a third time. The 2-3 in the 84th minute came too late.

South Korea will take on Nigeria, which eliminated host Argentina, in the quarterfinals.
