Exit for Kindermans who goes to Antwerp

YOUTH Het Nieuwsblad and Sporza report that Jean Kindermans, head of youth academy at Purple & White, will start working at Antwerp from 1 July 2024. Anderlecht tried to keep Kindermans on board, but according to the newspaper, Kindermans felt insufficient respect.


Kindermans is the face of Neerpede, which has produced top football players such as Kompany, Lukaku, Tielemans and Doku in recent decades. Earlier this year there were already serious disturbances in the relationship between Kindermans and Anderlecht. Kindermans was one of the few who survived Marc Coucke's 'clearance policy', but in January he was told that he would have to leave.

The club tried to rectify this lopsided situation, but Kindermans felt that he received too little respect. He will move to Antwerp where a new position will be created for him.

It is not yet known who will succeed Kindermans at Neerpede. Kindermans was active at Anderlecht for 17 years.
