Bouchouari an option as a left back?

GAMES What if Brian Riemer opts for Ludwig Augustinsson as a central defender against Union? Then Mo Bouchouari might make his debut with Anderlecht's A-team. The 23-year-old Antwerp native is by nature a right back, but Riemer has no objection to occupying him at left back as well.


"Remember when I started here? Then we sometimes played with two right-footers at right and left back and it worked," Riemer referred to his decision to put Killian Sardella at left back often at his press conference this afternoon. 

"Sometimes it can be better to play with a right-footed left back than to have a central defender playing against his foot. That causes more problems in the build-up," Riemer said.

At training camp in Tunisia, Bouchouari managed to convince by all means. "He did well at the internship. I was a little surprised, because I honestly didn't know him. When I arrived, he was on loan. He surprised me in a very positive way."
