First league game behind closed doors

GAMES RSC Anderlecht will open the 2024-2025 league at home against STVV, however, that match will be played behind closed doors. That penalty is due to the halted cup game against Standard on December 7 last year. 


Anderlecht won that match but it had to be halted for a while due to riots between supporters. 

Purple and White could in principle appeal to the Belgian Court of Arbitration for Sport but decided not to do so.

It thus opens the league on July 27 behind closed doors.
