Anderlecht inquires about Belgian Leverkusen defender

TRANSFERS In its search for defensive reinforcements, Anderlecht has ended up, among others, with Madi Monamay, an 18-year-old Belgian defender who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen Leverkusen. That is what the Eindhovens Dagblad writes. According to the newspaper, however, PSV seems to have the best papers to attract him.


Besides Anderlecht and PSV, Club Brugge and Monomay's former club Racing Genk also have the Belgian youth international in their sights. Monomay plays at Leverkusen with the U19, but already trained with the A core.

Monomay still has a one-year contract. According to Eindhovens Dagblad, Leverkusen is willing to let Monomay leave for a limited transfer fee, but wants a percentage in case of a transfer in the future.

Monomay has played for Leverkusen since 2022. Before that, he played for KVK Tienen (-2015), KV Woluwe-Zaventem (2015-2018), OH Leuven (2018-2019) and Racing Genk (2019-2022).
