Interest in young Kenyan defender

TRANSFERS According to Swedish newspaper Expressen, Anderlecht have made a €3.5m bid for Collins Sichenje, a 20-year-old central defender from Vojvodina Novi Sad. However, the Serbian club wants more for Sichenje, who can actually barely produce any noble credentials.


Vojvodina has been renting Sichenje from AIK Stockholm since the beginning of July. The loan runs until the end of this year and Vojvodina has a €430,000 purchase option. It is already certain, according to Expressen, that Vojvodina will exercise that option. Sichenje has only played four matches for Vojvodina (one in the league and three in Europe), but apparently made a very good impression in them.

Sichenje came to Sweden from Kenya in March 2022. In his first year with AIK, he made a dozen appearances. From March to December 2023, AIK rented him to KuPS of Finland, where he was a regular. For the first half of this year, he was back with AIK but did not play.
