Vertonghen might be back again on Thursday

INJURIES There is a chance Jan Vertonghen could be back again on Thursday against Dinamo Minsk. Coach Brian Riemer told that at his press conference this weekend. ‘Jan is doing well,' the coach said. ‘It is possible that he will return on Thursday, or a week later. Because we have to be careful.'


Vertonghen is currently sidelined with an Achilles tendon strain. Meanwhile, as captain, he remains very much involved in the squad. ‘He is at all the meetings,' Riemer said. ‘Possibly he will also travel with us to Hungary on Thursday for the match against Minsk even if he can't play yet.'
