Killian Sardella made his debut for the Red Devils last Sunday. He entered the field in the final minutes of the match against Israel. This choice means he can no longer play for Cameroon, which has always been close to his heart. Sardella does not look back on the defeat, but feels “an immense joy to finally make his debut for this team. He considers it a great honor to wear this shirt, even if it was only for 20 seconds.
He acknowledges that the team did not have a good performance and, in his opinion, could have played much better. “The injuries of some important players should not mask the team's shortcomings,” he echoed.
Sardella stressed that the new generation coming up needs time and patience to develop. The team must remain cohesive and keep moving forward, according to his analysis.
“The young Devils need to be more daring, but the team is still searching for itself. Many new players need to be fitted in. But fortunately, I feel the fans are still behind us,” he concluded.
