Next media contract less lucrative

GAMES The media contract for the Jupiler Pro League for the next five years will be renewed, with the current rights holder being DAZN. Telenet and Proximus have also submitted bids for the next period. However, the highest new bid is again for DAZN, especially for the live broadcast component. However, the bid of 80 million per year is lower than the current value of 86 million for this component.
 


The total package is currently 103 million per year, but it is now estimated that only 90 million will be brought in. This is a lot less than hoped for. Some clubs are still considering selling their rights separately.
