Foket: "We didn't create enough chances"

INTERVIEWS Thomas Foket, right back on duty yesterday, felt the points loss on the OHL field was a regrettable one. Despite the disappointment, Foket emphasized a positive aspect: the team managed not to concede any goals. “But we didn't really push our limits in this match,” he noted.
 


“The organization was reasonable, but we should have been more patient at times. With the busy match schedule, it is important to make better use of the wing changes and score at the right time.”

The question arises whether fatigue after a series of European matches played a role in the team's performance. However, Foket indicated that it was not the main factor, although it inevitably had an impact. “We have been playing two games a week all season. It's crucial to keep the ball in our possession and play it out better technically.”

Another problem that arose in this match was effectiveness in front of goal. Striker Dolberg, who has been scoring regularly recently, could not showcase his form. Despite a nice chance in the third minute, he failed to find the net. “You can't blame him for that, but normally the game changes when you score that early,” Foket said.
