Verschaeren: “Last weeks were difficult”

INTERVIEWS A few minutes after his substitution, Yari Verschaeren brought Anderlecht back into the match with his first goal of the season. “I'm very happy for myself and for the team,” he spoke afterwards. “The past few weeks have been difficult.”


In recent matches, Verschaeren has invariably had to start on the bench. “Maybe my performance this evening will change something,” said the number ten. “With my future I'm not busy at the moment. When I get my chance, I try to show myself. I try not to focus too much on what others say.”
