Hazard aims for comeback against Dender

INJURIES After an eight-month absence due to injury, Thorgan Hazard looks set to celebrate his return to the field. The Anderlecht player could make his return during the last home game of the year, on Dec. 27 against Dender. With the injuries to Killian Sardella and Mario Stroeykens, that would be a welcome reinforcement. Hazard has had a tough time after suffering a cruciate ligament tear in his right knee, suffered during the playoff game against Union in April.

According to the rehabilitation program of the RSC Anderlecht medical staff, he will first rejoin the RSCA Futures. An important date for Hazard is Dec. 21, when Anderlecht's U23 will take on Deinze. However, there is a chance that this match will not take place due to the imminent bankruptcy of Deinze. In case the match against Deinze is canceled, it is still unclear whether Anderlecht will organize an extra practice match for Hazard.
