Simic among most promising defenders

OTHER CIES Football Observatory has included Joel Ordonez (Bruges) and Jan-Carlo Simic (RSCA) in their list of best young central defenders under the age of 21. Seventeen-year-old Pau Cubarsi of FC Barcelona tops the list, followed by Ordonez and Simic. Simic initially received some criticism, but in recent months has emerged as a strong, reliable defender.
