1B - TRANSFERS Emmanuel Sarfo has made the switch from Anderlecht to Racing Genk on the last day of the transfer period. The 17-year-old right back was benched twice for the Futures in January and will now play soccer for direct rival Jong Genk.
Sarfo, who did not have a professional contract with Anderlecht, signed a 2.5-year deal with Genk. “Emmanuel is still young and primarily a choice for the future,” said Stijn Haeldermans, technical coordinator of Jong Genk. “He will therefore get the chance to develop further in Genk. Emmanuel is an attacking right back who is fast and comfortable on the ball.”
At Anderlecht, Sarfo played with the U18 this season. In January, he made it to the bench several times with the Futures, but did not yet play in 1B.
