Lapage was offered a new contract

TRANSFERS Olivier Renard looks back on the departure of Amando Lapage. The defender's departure caused controversy among supporters, but Renard actually puts the blame on the previous sports director.


“I saw Amando at the first team in the near future, only they failed to renew his contract earlier,” Renard explained.

“He got a new offer from me, but he chose to opt for more playing minutes and moved to Westerlo. He only had one more contract until this summer, so actually had to have made him a nice offer much earlier.”

“A new contract is also ready for Theo Leoni, but he is taking his time. Others already signed then, like Tajaouart (captain of the Futures) and Tristan Degreef.”
