INTERVIEWS After the game against Genk, Anderlecht coach Besnik Hasi showed understanding for his players. He noted a positive reaction after the defeat against Bruges, but stressed that this is still not enough. Hasi advocates faster ball circulation and a better search for free-agent players. He admitted that Nilson Angulo did not perform well, but Hasi whitewashed that to his young age.
In addition, the coach noted that Samuel Edozie should have prevented the ball loss on Genk's second goal.
More is also expected from Leander Dendoncker, Hasi stressed. “Cesar Huerta and Yari Verschaeren did perform well,” he added. “But we have to be careful with Yari, who could still have a relapse after his injury.”
Finally, Hasi concluded that the team played with a better mentality this time than against Bruges. He is trying to exude optimism to restore the confidence within the group, which is currently lacking.
