Hazard still open to national team

INTERVIEWS Thorgan Hazard has not yet announced his retirement from the national team and is open to a return if he is called up again. That's according to an interview in Humo. Under coach Domenico Tedesco, however, he was missing from the selection, which he does not consider a problem given his limited playing time at Dortmund and PSV. At Anderlecht, things initially went better and better until a nasty injury kept him sidelined for months. “It is important to play and perform consistently to get back into the national team,” he realizes.


Hazard did already have contact with new coach Rudi Garcia, who encouraged him to persevere. So a future selection may still be in the cards, if Hazard can raise his level.
