YOUTH This weekend Anderlecht's U13 and U11 teams participated in the ISR Elite Cup in Kampen, Netherlands. Although the final results were not perfect, Neerpede's young talents lived up to their reputation. The U13 finished with an impressive third place, while the U11 finished in 11th place, despite losing only once in eight games.
In the U13 tournament, the team got off to a difficult start with two draws, but this was followed by three wins, including a draw against the eventual winner of the tournament. By finishing second in their pool, they qualified for the semifinals, where they suffered their only defeat of the tournament against FC Utrecht (0-1). In the small final, however, they managed to win 3-0 against Genk, which had earlier been crowned Belgian champions. The final standings for the U13 were as follows:
AZ
FC Utrecht
Anderlecht.
The U11 team had a less successful start with three draws, which led them to third place in their group. This prevented them from competing for the title, but in the lower league they performed excellently by winning all their matches. In the following round, however, they lost to PEC Zwolle, but recovered with a win against Heerenveen, finishing in eleventh place.
