RSCA Women can write history

DAMES RSC Anderlecht Women are on the verge of writing history in the Belgian Super League, where they can become the first team to win eight titles in a row. This can become true by playing at least a draw against OHL. Unfortunately, the team must do without captain Laura De Neve, who will miss not only the upcoming game but also the European Championships in Switzerland due to a knee injury. Nevertheless, De Neve remains optimistic and will cheer on her team from the stands. OH Leuven will have to win again if it wants to keep a view on the title.


The recent victories over Standard and Club Brugge have given the team a boost in confidence. However, De Neve stressed, "We have to watch out for arrogance, because OHL is a very strong opponent." For RSC Anderlecht, winning the title is the only focus; missing the title would mean a failed season, especially after the disappointing loss of the cup. Moreover, this match marks the farewell of Silke Vanwynsberghe. The 29-year-old player is ending her career to focus on her work as a physical therapist.
