INTERVIEWS At Serbian medium Mozzart Sport, Mihajlo Cvetković has explained his transfer to Anderlecht. “Since last summer a lot of clubs inquired,” he explained. “The contacts with Anderlecht date back to January. I visited Malmö, but Anderlecht convinced me the most.”

“The first club to call was Charlotte from the MLS. This was followed by Malmö. Clubs from the Bundesliga and Serie A, such as Bologna, were also mentioned. With my family, we then weighed everything up. Anderlecht and Malmö were the most determined. Contacts with Anderlecht began in January. I visited Malmö, but that club was not as interesting to me ans Anderlecht.”

“Anderlecht is a big club, the biggest in Belgium. They have a rich history. A lot of Serbs were already playing there, including in Belgium. We Serbs seem to feel good in Belgium. I will do everything to put me on the map there as well.”

“I visited the stadium and the training center and immediately got the feeling that this club has an intimate relationship with Serbs. They immediately talked about Jestrovic, Jovanovic, Mitrovic, ... That gave me a warm feeling. I immediately felt happy.”

“I talk to Jan-Carlo Simic every day and am happy to have him there. He says he feels very good at Anderlecht and that the club is very well structured. There are people who take care of everything.”

“Belgium is a league that is good for the development of young players. The biggest difference with Serbia will be the pace. Here you have to think and play faster, but I'm ready for it.”

“The players I look up to the most are Gabriel Jesus, Lautaro Martinez and Roberto Firmino, when he was still playing at Liverpool. I might have some similarities with these three. Who knows, maybe one day I can reach their level.”

“Anderlecht already sent me a program for the next few weeks. I will train individually because I still have exams. On June 20, I will leave for Belgium. Because of all the transfer worries, which started to irritate me at one point, I haven't played everything the past half season, so I don't need much rest.”
