Grello: “The most difficult title ever”

OTHER RSC Anderlecht Futsal won the Belgian title after a nerve-wracking final against Charleroi. The match, which took place at the Alfasun Indoor Arena, had many twists and turns and ended with a score of 5-4 in Anderlecht's favor. The tension was there until the last second, especially after Anderlecht had to reverse a 0-2 deficit.


Gabriel Grello, Anderlecht's captain, expressed his joy over the victory: “This is the hardest title we have ever won. Charleroi has a strong squad with international players, which made it a big challenge.”

Martin Baert, the president of RSC Anderlecht, expressed relief but also criticism. “Charleroi really challenged us and made it an exciting final. Although we finished the regular season with a 15-point lead, we lose that bonus in the playoffs. The current format creates a lot of tension, but maybe it's time to rethink it.”
