INTERVIEWS Zeno Debast has had a remarkable year, winning both the championship and the cup with Sporting Lisbon. The young player highlights the Portuguese's passion for soccer and the intensity of the matches, especially against arch-rival Benfica. Since coming to Portugal, Debast has gained six pounds of muscle mass. According to him, people in Portugal work more professionally. But there is also more budget.
“Training and nutrition are much more personalized,” it sounds.
Debast also continues to follow Anderlecht and watched almost every match. He describes Anderlecht's season as difficult, with a lack of stability and confidence. “As a supporter, I even feel more stressed while watching than when I play myself in the Champions League.”
Debast obviously hopes for a better dynamic and believes that first and foremost all fans should be won back to the Anderlecht project.
He also speaks highly of Jan Vertonghen, who has helped him both at Anderlecht and in the national team. “We immediately established a strong bond. Jan is an exceptional person.”
Debast also looks up to other club icons such as Kompany and Lukaku and hopes for a great future himself. The player is determined to grow further, both in his club career and with the Red Devils.
