Angulo played a draw against Brazil

GAMES Nilson Angulo drew 0-0 with Ecuador against Brazil. For the right winger, it was his first starting place with the national team in a World Cup qualifier. He played a strong match and was substituted in the final minute. “It was not easy to debut against an opponent like this,” he said.


According to Ecuagol, Angulo was one of the standout players with the Ecuadorians. “He starred left back Vanderson (Monaco, ed.) on several occasions,” he echoed. Angulo therefore received congratulations from his coach and teammates afterwards. 

“It's not easy to debut against a team like Brazil,” Angulo told the press after the match. “I think I did well, but of course many things still need to improve. For Angulo, this was his fifth international. In 2021 and 2022, he was already in the starting lineup once during practice internationals. His last playing minutes before last night date from June of last year.
